Baddow Close Alleyway Reopening Delivered
School Run Made Safe Again
After months of campaigning, we have secured a major victory for local families in the reopening of Baddow Close Alleyway by the end of this month.
For too long now, the Labour-run Redbridge Council have ignored serious concerns from Ray Lodge Primary School’s parents, teachers and me following the closure of this vital pedestrian route to the school.
This closure forced children and families on the school run onto a narrow stretch of Snakes Lane East, a busy main road made even more congested by the closure of Broadmead Road Bridge. The situation was simply unacceptable.
That is why your local Conservative Councillors and I took action. We listened to residents, worked closely with the Headteacher at Ray Lodge Primary School, and launched a petition signed by hundreds of residents demanding its reopening.
Together, we made it clear that every child deserves to be safe on the school run.
Now, the reopening of Baddow Close Alleyway will restore a safe route for pupils and families, ending months of unnecessary disruption and concern.
Thank you to everyone who signed the petition, supported the campaign and helped make their voices heard.
