Like many of you, I remain frustrated about the ongoing closure of the second exit at Chingford Station.
The current overcrowding at the station, especially during rush hours, has caused implications for safety, particularly with families with small children. As a result, I wrote again to Andrew Lord, the Commissioner of Transport for London (TfL).
Following my letter, I am disappointed to report that TFL’s position remains the same, they do not believe a second exit is necessary.
As your Member of Parliament, I remain fully committed to pressing Transport for London to review all available options to improve safety and comfortability for residents’ commutes and I will continue to advocate for the re-opening of the second exit to Chingford Station.
