I was delighted to return to Highams Park School, alongside the school’s Principal Nigel Armsby and Chief Operations Officer Richard Palmer, to see the rebuild progress since work began in June 2024 and visit the school’s Memorial Garden.
Significant progress has been made with works now scheduled to be completed in time for the full return of students in the Autumn term, 2027.
Having successfully secured the £50 million investment for the school through the previous Conservative Government’s Department for Education (DfE) School Rebuilding Programme, I am delighted that this investment will make a real difference by giving students and teachers the modern, safe, and inspiring environment they need to learn and thrive.
Access to excellent local education is a priority for so many parents across Chingford and Woodford Green, and while Highams Park School already does fantastic work in supporting and educating its pupils, this £50 million investment will help it continue doing so for years to come.
