I was honoured to join the Remembrance Service and laying of the flowers at Chingford Mount Cemetery to remember the debt we owe to those who fought for our freedoms and those who never came back.

Flowers and remembrance crosses were laid on the graves of services personnel laid to rest in the cemetery.

A huge thank you to Councillor Roy Berg for organising the event, and to everyone involved with helping on this special local community event.

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old, Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.”
