Sir Iain Duncan Smith backs residents’ campaign to save footpath

Sir Iain Duncan Smith is backing local residents to call on Redbridge Council to re-establish a footpath as a public right of way after it blocked off by a private landowner.

This vital footpath as been in use by local residents since at least 1866. Sir Iain is calling on the council to formally dedicate the path under section 31 of the Highways Act 1980 and work with the police to remove the dumped cars and chain fences.
