I was delighted to welcome 40 Ukrainian students to Parliament yesterday.
These remarkable young people, aged 17–18, have been selected by the Government of Kyiv to take part in the prestigious UKUA FLEX (Future Leaders Exchange) programme. The initiative, run by the UK charity UKUA Together, supports the development of Ukraine’s future leaders, promotes democratic values, strengthens ties with their UK peers, and offers the students a moment of respite from the ongoing war.
It was an honour to meet them and to reaffirm the UK’s continued support for Ukraine.
