Cllr Roy Berg

Following serious concerns raised by a local resident with their Conservative Councillor, Roy Berg, and I regarding suspected illegal activity at a property in Chingford, Councillor Roy Berg referred the matter immediately to the Police.

Within 24 hours of the report, local officers executed a warrant at the address, which was subsequently identified as a cannabis site.

I would like to thank the resident who rightly raised these concerns, and I commend Councillor Roy Berg and the local Police for their swift and decisive response in addressing this illegal activity, particularly given its proximity to a local school.

Reporting suspicious activity is vital to effective neighbourhood policing and to maintaining the safety in our community.
