Today, I was pleased to join the opening of the newly refurbished Chase Lane Park.The refurbishment was made possible thanks to the £8.4 million Levelling Up Funding I secured for Chingford and Woodford Green under the previous Conservative Government.

The prolonged closure of Broadmead Road Bridge has caused significant disruption for residents and businesses across Chingford and Woodford Green. To make matters worse, the bridge remains closed to vehicles with no confirmed action plan or timeline for reopening.

I’m pleased to have secured new double-sided fingerpost signage for the Connaught Club on Rangers Road, E4.

Founded in 1885, the Connaught Club is home to seven outdoor and two indoor tennis courts, four squash courts, a gym, and a bowling green.

I’m deeply disappointed that the Labour Government is planning to close the front counter at Chingford Police Station, leaving residents in Chingford and Woodford Green without any police station open to the public.

Reforming our welfare system is vital but the Government’s Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment Bill was not true reform. It amounted to arbitrary cuts, not meaningful change. That’s why I voted against it.This Bill may claim to offer savings, but they are not sustainable.

Last night, I joined many concerned residents at Redbridge Council’s public meeting on Broadmead Road Bridge at Sir James Hawkey Hall.

I had the privilege of joining Ukrainian Action on their 77th convoy from London to Ukraine. Since March 2022, this incredible charity has delivered over 370 vehicles across more than 70 humanitarian aid convoys.
